Retro Pop magazine #3 May 2022 Darren Hayes Duran Duran Billie Ray Martin

In this month’s issue of Retro Pop, we go back to the 1990s for an issue brimming with brilliant new music!

First up is our fabulous cover star Darren Hayes, who recently returned to the spotlight after a decade away. Ahead of a bold and colourful new chapter, he looks back on 25 years of hits and reveals how stepping away from the industry reignited his passion for pop.

Also in this issue, we catch up with Billie Ray Martin on Electribe 101’s superb second album ‘Electribal Soul’; Keith Duffy and Brian McFadden look to the past with their latest release 'Old School'; and Dubstar tell all about reuniting with original producer Stephen Hague on ‘Two’.

Plus, we dive deep into two ‘90s classics - Hanson’s MMMBop, which turns 25 this year, and Rozalla’s classic ‘Everybody’s Free’.

Outside of the ‘90s, we have producer Ian Little, who recalls working with Duran Duran, while Kiki Dee reveals which version of her Elton John duet Don’t Go Breaking My Heart is her favourite.

Oh, and our Record Store Day feature has all you need to know about this year’s best pop releases.

All that and lots more inside this month’s jam packed issue!
